Tijuana Cartel have returned after a blistering summer festival run including sets at Peats Ridge Festival and a well received performance at Southbound Festival right before Crystal Castles. Tijuana have spent the summer honing their skills and are bringing their good sounds back to Byron Bay!!

“We’ve tried out so many new tracks, and we took time in selecting the right songs at the right times to give everyone in the room a total experience.” Remarks Paul George, the bands gujitarist and front man. Like a snake charmer, Tijuana succeeds at enticing the listener with its exotic blends of sounds, samples and instruments. Tijuana Cartel are purveyors of a very unique blend of music, one that immediately draws you in, intoxicating your senses and freeing your inhibitions.

We’re looking forward to seeing these guys in action on Friday the 24th of February at The Great Northern with Kwerkshoppe, and The Mank opening to get the night started. Get your tickets for the show HERE.

Our curiosity is also piqued about a new film clip being made by the band which is due to release in March. The film features “a heavy close-up pashing scene between two cowboys set somewhere in Bolivia” ….  “It’s a long story, but the clip is kind of a very left-field idea we had. We never really thought it would come about, but a film making friend of ours was so keen he up and left for Bolivia with a camera.” says Paul.
